A lovely day, very light winds. I wouldnt normally go to WW on a forecast of a light NW wind but I had arranged to buy a kite on route (3.4m Predator) and collect the boat on the way back. I was rewarded with a very pleasant day on the beach from 10:30 until 2pm when the wind died.
Wind was cross-offshore at the launch place so I started from the usual place and cut upwind onto the east head section of beach and went right to the end, I found a half mile long section of hard sand right down by the east head channel bouy and did lots of fast runs there, also saw how far round east head I could go and gat far enough round the head to see the car, had troubles getting back upwind though!
The beach was very rippled and I found quite a bit of soft sand round on east head and even with my bigfoots I sunk it.
Mainly flew the 6.5m but had a quick play with the new 3.4m toy, its a nice kite.
